Nick Ellis on 2012 NHL Draft Futures List

Nick Ellis (Pomfret School, CT) is currently on the NHL Central Scouting’s Futures List of North American players being scouted for the 2012 NHL Draft!

Last year, another goalie, who trained with The Goalie Academy since age 8 like Ellis, Jay Williams (USHL Waterloo Black Hawks), also appeared on the list.

Earlier this year, Ellis committed to a full, four year Hockey Scholarship to play NCAA D-I college at Providence College.

Nick is the first goalie trained by The Goalie Academy almost exclusively on synthetic ice to receive a D-I scholarship.  While we have trained other scholarship winners such as Williams and Dan Sullivan (University of Maine) as well D-I athletes Mike Clemente (Brown University), Rich Sillery (Union College), and Danielle Kimble (Union College), the majority of work with these goalies has been a larger combination of real ice and synthetic ice.

Congratulations again to Nick Ellis on his superb accomplishments!
